Australia Development Research Awards (ADRA): The Impact of Harm Reduction Programs on Law Enforcement in Southeast Asia: What works and what doesn’t

Description:What impact do harm reduction programs have on law enforcement policy and practice to reduce HIV-related risk among injecting drug users  and their communities in Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and Indonesia?
Objectives:
1. To identify mechanisms used in harm reduction programs that do and do not influence endorsement of HR in policy and practice by law enforcement in four countries of Southeast Asia.
2. To build a stronger evidence base to inform and guide effective harm reduction policy and programs, with specific reference to law enforcement, in the Asia-Pacific region.

3. To strengthen regional research capacity.
