Aceh Partnerships in Health Facility (APiH)
Description: The Aceh Partnerships in Health aims to improve the health of the people of Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam by supporting local organisations in Aceh in their health programs and services, and to address gaps and neglected areas in the health sector. The Facility aims to develop long term partnerships with local health organisations, both government and non-government, in order to build their organisational and technical capacity in areas including; Mental Health, Women's and Child Health, Adolescent Health, Disability, HIV/AIDS, Organisational Development, Policy and Planning, and Health Information Systems. Assistance for language, computer and management skills development of key personnel is also provided.
APiH is implemented through developing partnerships with local organisations, LSMs or Provincial/District offices. This is intended to increase their management, financial and technical capacity and expertise, thereby maximising sustainability and local service delivery. APiH identifies the needs of local partner organisations, assists them to develop plans to achieve objectives, and supports the implementation of those plans. APiH monitors the activities so as to ensure appropriate technical skills and support is available, with the objective that local partner organisations will ultimately be independent and self-sustaining.

Aceh Partnerships in Health Facility (APiH) Phase II
Description: The Aceh Partnerships in Health Phase II is a continuation of several components of APiH including Adolescent Health and Health Finance.
AIHI continues to build on our strong relationship with YAKITA established during APiH and pilot a youth friendly health services model in Aceh. AIHI will document this through a case study and hope to disseminate the findings regionally.
The Health Finance Study in Phase II will pilot, test and refine a model for the calculation of the costs of delivery of primary health care services in three districts of Aceh and additional data collection on management and program coordination needs being undertaken by AIHI in conjunction in part with the Provincial Health Office of Aceh.
