Children’s Vaccine Program (CVP)
Description:The overall goal of the program was to prevent common childhood infectious diseases in children in the target countries by making new and underused vaccines available through revitalised national immunisation programs. Objectives were to:
- Assist Vietnam and Cambodia apply to the Vaccine Fund (in collaboration with GAVI partners and Ministries of Health)
- Develop and strengthen human resource capacity for implementation of immunisation programs (including the introduction of new vaccines and in particular the Hepatitis B vaccine)
- Undertake operational research that supports new and under utilised vaccine introduction
Advocate for new vaccine introduction and use and immunisation safety
