Development of GAVI Alliance Health Systems Strengthening Application
Description:The Ministry of Health, with financial support from the Global Alliance for Vaccine and Immunisation (GAVI) is implementing a Program to improve immunisation coverage and child survival through district health system strengthening. This aims to increase health centre utilisation by improving the quality and coverage of services and by increasing demand for health services from mothers and communities. The strategic focus of the Program is to strengthen the Performance Based Management Agreements (MPA) to establish a continuum of quality care for Maternal and Child Health at health centres while at the same time ensuring high risk and drop out populations are still accessing essential health services.
