Description:This JE Program aim to eliminate clinical JE and avoid the unnecessary death and disability caused by JE through awareness raising, increasing evidence for decision-making, improving availability of a safe, effective, affordable JE vaccine and assisting introduction of the vaccine in countries interested and able to implement a JE control program. The JE Program works with health ministries in JE-endemic countries and collaborates with other partners such as WHO, World Bank, UNICEF, University of Liverpool and the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention. Program activities in Cambodia focus on improving surveillance for JE disease to improve documentation of disease burden. The Program is also supporting planning for future vaccine introduction, including a cost-effectiveness analysis of JE vaccine introduction and provision of updates and information to the MOH and other partners.
